Pose of the Day- Laghu Vajrasana (thunderbolt)

My new favorite pose to work on- it is a deep back-bend that requires you to have open and strong quadriceps at the same time. Not only is it a challenge to get into the pose but it is even more of a challenge to get out of the pose. As a result it is imperative that you are honest with where you are in that moment, it forces you to find your truth (Satya).

It is also important that you keep length in your lower back and let the majority of the back-bending be in your upper back, keep your heart lifted and open with the support of your shoulder-blades pressing in towards your chest.

I have been working on it with a block behind me to bring my head to so I can practice it without getting my head all the way to the floor.

Namaste!
