Embrace Change

Spring is here, flowers are blooming, gardens are growing and change is in the air in every way imaginable.  This is such a great time of year to let go of the old, and to make room for new possibilities and opportunities.  I've recently made some changes and have found that even though deep down I might really know what is best, sometimes it is hard to let go.  Even if things aren't perfect and I know they could be better it can seem easier in the short term to cling and hold on simply because that is what I've been doing all along. Sometimes however, you need to make a leap.  Take a risk and know that somehow you will land on your feet.  Embrace the promise of change.

If you are at feeling like you need a change somewhere but are not sure where, start with what you know. Notice how your practice is changing- maybe you can touch your toes for the first time, maybe even if you can't touch your toes you don't care as much because you are working on being present with your breath and you know that touching your toes, while possibly fun, isn't the real goal of your yoga practice.

Maybe take a leap and add another day of practice into your week, or try a new teacher, or a new pose, the possibilities are endless!  One thing is for sure, when you stay committed to your practice it will change, maybe not overnight but definitely over time.

Happy spring everyone- big changes are on the way, make room in your life for the happiness you deserve.
