Oh how I love the Pacific Northwest.... we just got back from a weekend in Portland. I had not been to Portland since I was about 5 years old so this was my first chance to explore the city. What an amazing place. We had some of the best coffee ever (puts coffee shops here in Los Angeles to shame) at Stumptown coffee in the Pearl district and enjoyed delicious food and friendly people everywhere we went. This photo was taken on a walk right by where we were staying (a friend's house), it is basically their backyard! The fall colors, getting to wear a hat and scarf and sitting by a fire were just a few highlights of the weekend. Everything seems so simple the second I set food in the Northwest, I feel like I know where I am going and I don't feel like I need to rush to get there.
