I've been thinking a lot the past few weeks about letting go of fear. Whether it is fear of a pose or fear of the unknown, the future, what steps to take next or whatever it may be. Fear can be a useful tool in some ways, it can serve as a reminder to take a step back and examine our options or to slow down and perhaps not try that fancy pose that perhaps we don't feel ready for. On the other hand, at some point fear becomes something that can hold us back from what we are ready for, a step we know we need to take. There comes a time in every situation where we simply have to try, the more we let fear build the harder it is to let go of. In the words of Stephen Schwartz (from the musical Wicked) "Its time to trust my instincts, close my eyes and leap!"
