December 12-18: Finding Time to Practice

Multnomah Falls
Next week is Christmas and the beginning of Hannukah, for many people this can be one of the most stressful times of year.  Staying commited to your practice can help keep you calm and centered.  There are days for everyone (myself included) that it feels like there is literally no time to practice but it as at these times that we can gain the most benefit from our practice.  AND- the more we are able to stay commited to our practice in challenging times the easier it becomes to stick with it into the future.  By building tapas (heat or discipline) in our practice we create a good samskaras (habits) and it will be easier to come back the mat next time.
