Yoga Anywhere- Even at the Airport!

With all the traveling we've been doing lately it's been a bit of a challenge to keep my practice going on a daily basis.  But I've learned to practice wherever and whenever I can.  Even at the Singapore airport with ten minutes to spare before boarding the next airplane!

Peace and Light to you all- new dates and classes will soon be announced stateside so please stay tuned!  I have lots of ideas and inspiration from all the traveling and teaching that I've been doing in the past six months.

  1. The airport, bus station, on the ferry ... when we travel our bodies yearn for the natural movement of hatha yoga. Of course it's hard to enter into a state of pratyahara in such surroundings and you'll likely get lots of curious onlookers, but at least your body will feel good.

  2. Thanks for your comment! Yes finding pratyahara is difficult with curious onlookers but anything helps right? I find that the more I practice in public (which sometimes is a necessity when traveling for such an extended period of time- I'm going on 6 months) the more quiet and withdrawn I can become, sometimes I can almost forget I am in the middle of the public space and begin to find a little of it. I also think there are times when any yoga is good yoga and I will take what I can get. Thanks again for your comment- I love getting input from fellow teachers and yogis :)
