Wednesday, Office Yoga Workshop, Bellevue
This past week I've dug out all the books I read during my teacher trainings, I'm determined to actually read them all, start to finish. This will take me awhile. During my teacher trainings I read them but I didn't have time to savor them and now that I have the time and am looking for new sources of inspiration and ideas to explore as I begin to teach new classes so I am diving in. My first book on this journey is Georg Feuerstein's "The Deeper Dimension of Yoga" and is a collection of essays that he has written over the years on everything yoga related. For anyone who is looking to deepen their understanding of the philosophy and history of yoga this is a great book.
Being that we still have snow in the mountains up here I've been able to get on my board a few times this season. I'm always amazed how much my yoga practice translates to how I board down the mountain. From synching to the breath (vinyasa) to being aware and present of the beauty of the mountain at every moment. It is a very zen experience for me every time I'm up there.
The first of 3 Office Yoga Workshops in Bellevue went great! Thanks to everyone who made it, I will be back next week for another session and am looking forward to it. Over the next few weeks I am meeting with lots of Seattle studios and hopefully will begin subbing classes and getting some more regular classes going, I'll be sure to keep you all posted, I always love to see some friendly and familiar faces in the room!
That's it for this week! Peace and light to you all! Relish the springtime- there is lots of room for transformation this time of year, embrace it and enjoy the ride!
Its raining in Seattle this week, thought some flowers might brighten the mood! |
